I was wondering if it is possible to retrieve forecasts made in the past. E.g., is it possible to retrieve the forecast made on 2021-06-01 for the date 2021-06-10?

info Official comment You use the "Forecast Basis Date" either in Query Builder or the API directly (as forecastBasisDate) to set the date on which the forecast was made. When you set the Forecast Basis Date value, then the results for every date within the 15-day forecast window will return the historical forecast for that date as it was seen in the forecast issued on the Forecast Basis Date. (Data requested outside that 15-day forecast window will be taken from normal historical weather data.) If you want to query data based on the forecast from a different day, simply rerun the query using a different Forecast Basis Date.
The example given in the article shows a Forecast Basis Date of May 1, 2023. The means that the results for dates May 1 through May 15, 2023, will be given using the historical forecast as it appeared on May 1.
If you look at the section in the article (referenced above - https://www.visualcrossing.com/resources/documentation/weather-data/how-to-query-weather-forecasts-from-the-past-historical-forecasts/) immediately above the Query Builder section (it is entitled "How to retrieve historical forecast data via the Weather API"), these concepts are explained and further examples given.

We are however currently working on providing this feature and we'd love to hear about you are intending to use them. For example, what information you are looking for (hourly, daily, which variables etc) and how many days forecast you need. Oren Schneorson Thank you, I read through the article on historical forecasts. I am still unsure whether the historical data I'm seeing on the query builder, e.g. when I query daily data between some dates (date range) for a particular location, is one day ahead forecast, three days ahead forecast, blend of forecast and actual weather conditions on that day? Could you elaborate on the date the forecast was made for these daily data point?
My client is interested in these forecast to help make predictions on office attendance.
