The Output section dropdown should display hourly instead of daily. Also wrong record count. I selected hourly in the previous step.

info Official comment My guess based on your explanation is that you were in the hourly tab of Query Builder, moved to the download option, and expected the default output to be hourly. However, that is not the current behavior. The download option instead defaults to daily to avoid surprising the user with an unexpectedly large download. If you wish to change the temporal resolution of your data download, simply click on the appropriate option in the dropdown list.

Tony When coming to this page with hourly set from the View data page, the estimated count is already set for hourly yet the dropdown is set to daily. If you're saying the user is set to not download an expectedly large download, without the user any action, the screen is showing a large count.
The count NEEDS to match what the dropdown is showing. When the user changes the dropdown, the count should match it in real time. It's javascript that recalculates the count when the user changes the dropdown.
In my case, I see Daily in the dropdown, yet the count reflects hourly. So what am I downloading.. records for daily or for hourly? the UI is confusing to the user.
