Hi Caterina!
We have a document for our Energy Elements that explains this:
Energy elements in the Timeline Weather API – Visual Crossing Weather
I hope you find this useful, but please let us know if you need additional information.

Hi!
Thank you so much for the quick answer!
I have already seen all the documentation on the website but I couldn't understad in detail what's the difference between the two.
To me they almost look like they are the same thing!
I hope you can help me figure this out!
Thanks!
Hi Caterina,
We use multiple sources for Solar Data. The solar metrics found in our normal datasets are from standard sources while the advanced solar source is focused on the individual components. We cannot give you a direct quantifiable relationship between those datasets due to their multi-source nature and variations in measurement techniques, aggregation and interpolation. However, you can use the component information to devise your own aggregations based on their definitions.
